San Juanico Bridge

Ohhh.. San Juanico Bridge…watta bridge… at the entrance I felt like no difference compared to the Mactan Bridge 1. The only variation is the curve and the length (1.5 kms.) this bridge plays a major role for land travelers and linked the two major towns of Leyte, the Tacloban and Samar.

McArthur Park

The famous “I shall return” phrase from General Douglas McArthur. My wish came true to visit his monument, at last... I thought it was a life size, but more than on what I’ve expected :). We had took lots of pix there.

Eye Witness: Road Accident

While we wandered the city of Tacloban, we witnessed this accident, it’s really fresh in our eyes. This was the result of reckless and irresponsible motorcycle driver, I felt pity to the innocent trisikad driver locally known as “pot2x”. But still they are thankful, they only had bruises and minor injuries except for the motorcycle backride, I guessed he was fainted till the rescuer came and brought him to the nearest hospital. Hmmmm what an adventure trip we had.

Horrible Experienced @ MV Wonderful Stars

As we all know that the most horrifying tragedy on sea involved the vessel from Sulpicio Lines, the Princess of the Stars. It’s exactly 1 week on that dawn of June 28, I thought that was the end of our lives. It’s really a bad.. bad.. bad.. day that was the most unforgettable accident came to pass in my life, eventhough I encountered road accidents which resulted to my broken right hand, but luckily it was okay after all. But since the sea mishap where only miracles can save, I felt we we’re given another chance to live. Just imagine, some were crying most especially children… and everybody were ready to jump just in case the captain will announce to save your own life. I can’t forget while taking some pictures, I can’t even press the shutter of my cam, thinking that the ship were about to sink. Our vessel as the reported weights only 1,200 tons while the cargo vessel has almost 10,000 tons…. Can you see the difference? Oh my gosh! The only thing that I considered as the life saver is the catwalk railings, and without that, I’m sure there’s a casualty since most of the passengers were fall asleep coz it’s around 1:20 a.m. and one more thing, there’s no big waves.

We’re floating on the sea for about an hour while the crew was checking and to ensure the seaworthiness of the vessel to proceed its destination, and since we we’re passing on the open seas.

Mactan Bridge @ Night

City lights at night, captured during on our way to Leyte, a 5 days sightsee together with my officemates, despite of hectic sked. The lights as you can see here is the pier area, and old Mactan Bridge, camera is always on the go, it’s my travel buddy hehe. I felt so excited that night, though obviously that was my first time to visit the provinces of Leyte. While we’re sailing I can’t control myself to grab my cam and took some romantic lights and reflections hmmm what a wannabe pro-photographer. We’re so happy on that night, a few hours before that horrible accident.

Securing an SSS ID? Wait for 6 months, worst not even a year.

It’s quite late for me to realize, coz at first I thought that it will only take weeks or months until I found to myself. Too bad, some will say you’re lucky if you receive your ID within 6 months. Plus I felt upset to SSS Office- Lapu-lapu City, I think the warning was posted since last year stated that the machine for capturing data such as fingerprint & etc. was defective, then they will advise you to better go to Cebu City-Main Office, just imagine the population and the crowd. Omg! What happened to Lapu-lapu City’s branch?

So on the following day, I decided to visit main office as early as 4am, and to my surprise I’m on the #21, not bad coz I’ve asked the #1 and he said that he’s early as 2am :( and take note the office transactions will start at 8am.

Hmmmm.. I will wait my SSS ID till 2009.
